Founded in June 2003, from humble beginnings we have grown in leaps and bounds. Today the number of students studying here has increased significantly, and the school building, as you might have observed, is rising up to the skies—true to our motto ‘Reach for the skies’! We have grown not only in strength and size, but also in level of excellence. We have received Permanent affiliation to the ICSECouncil.
We also have a Junior College (Science, Commerce and Arts) and a Degree College. Today the function of a school is not merely to impart knowledge of the prescribed syllabus, but of the world beyond the classrooms. It is the role of the school to shape a character which will develop qualities of leadership that can be employed in the future for the creation of a superior nation. S.J. Poddar Academy dedicates itself to this very role, so that our students can contribute positively. We endeavour to inspire our students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and productive members of an ever changing global society. We try to channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence in a holistic, student centred environment. We try to sensitize them to the needs of the community, and inculcate values of integrity, fortitude and acceptance of individual differences. Our aim is not only to churn out success stories, but to make our students sensitive and humane and to reach out in love and service.
I feel confident that S.J. Poddar Academy will be a beacon of light, guiding its students, and radiating kindness and compassion as it soars high in the pursuit of the fulfilment of the school motto – ‘Reach for the skies’
